Hygiene You Can See
Single-use needles and hospital-grade sterilisation are the whole pitch. Surface them up front — not buried in an FAQ — so a first-timer relaxes before they scroll.
A craft-first website proposal for a tattoo & piercing studio in Randpark Ridge, Johannesburg — custom, consultation-led work, professional piercing, strict hygiene, and free consultations booked over WhatsApp. "Ink that tells your story."
The Tattoo Gallery is a small, dedicated tattoo & piercing studio in Honeycrest Shopping Centre, Randpark Ridge. Three resident artists — Rob, Dwane and Ray — cover everything from black & grey realism to bold colour and professional piercing. Every piece starts with a real conversation and a custom drawing, and the whole studio runs on hospital-grade sterilisation and single-use needles. The brand line is plain — "Craft first. Hype never." — and the site had to feel exactly that calm and clean.
Independent tattoo & piercing studio in Randpark Ridge, Johannesburg. Three resident artists, strict single-use hygiene, and free consultations. Active across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok with a loyal following.
Full website proposal — styles menu, artist line-up, a piercing service page, portfolio, FAQ, plus a preparation, aftercare and deposit policy, all leading to a WhatsApp-first booking flow.
Translate the studio's clean, craft-led space into a digital one. Make the hygiene promise, the artists, and the free consultation impossible to miss — and make booking a single tap on any device.
Choosing a tattoo studio is a leap of faith — it's permanent, it's personal, and the room has to feel safe. The site had to settle those nerves first, then show the work, then make booking effortless.
Single-use needles and hospital-grade sterilisation are the whole pitch. Surface them up front — not buried in an FAQ — so a first-timer relaxes before they scroll.
Rob, Dwane and Ray each own a different style. The site had to help a visitor find the right artist for their idea — or guide them if they're not sure.
The work sells the studio. Real, healed pieces across styles — tattoos and piercings — laid out so the quality reads instantly, not a wall of flash.
WhatsApp is how Joburg books body art. Make a free consultation a single tap — plus clear prep, aftercare and a transparent deposit policy so there are no surprises.
Lead with the calm — clean type, dark ink-and-paper palette, generous space — then let the work and the artists carry it. Every page answers a question someone nervous about their first tattoo would ask out loud.
Read the studio cold — what reassures a first-timer, what makes a space feel sterile and welcoming at once, and how the three artists' styles actually differ.
An ink-and-paper direction — confident type, real studio and portfolio photography, hygiene front and centre. Editorial, not loud. No clip-art skulls.
Hand-coded HTML, CSS & JavaScript — home, tattoos, piercings, artists, portfolio, FAQ and contact, with prep, aftercare and a transparent deposit policy. Mobile-first throughout.
Deployed as a live demo at demo.covino.co.za/thetattoogallery — every page working, the WhatsApp booking flow live, every section clickable.
