Trust Before Price
In a category dominated by "best price guaranteed" noise, lead with process transparency instead — testing in full view, no obligation, ID verification.
A trust-first website proposal for a South African precious-metals and luxury-watch buyer — built around an instant-valuation calculator, a nine-branch locator, and a four-step sell process that mirrors how the business actually trades. "No pressure. No games. Just an honest weigh-in."
GoldTrust buys precious metals, coins, bullion, and high-end timepieces from individuals — gold, silver, platinum, palladium — across nine branches in South Africa. They pay by same-day EFT, test in full view of the seller, and operate under Jewellery Council, FICA, and POPIA compliance. The headline isn't "best price"; the headline is "honest weigh-in."
South African precious-metals and luxury-watch buyer. Nine branches nationwide. Six product categories — gold, silver, platinum, palladium, coins & bullion, watches. Accredited by the Jewellery Council, FICA-compliant, POPIA-aware.

Make selling gold feel less like a back-room negotiation and more like a transparent transaction. The site has to do the credibility work the storefront would normally do in person.
"Sell your gold" is one of the lowest-trust queries on the South African internet — fly-by-night buyers, hidden fees, lowball weigh-ins. A website in this category has to earn the click, the visit, and the handover, in that order.

A live calculator that turns "how much is this worth?" into a number before the visitor has to fill in a single form field.
Nine locations across the country, each needing to feel local — without forcing the visitor to scroll through a wall of addresses.
Jewellery Council, FICA, POPIA — credentials that quietly close the deal. Show them up front instead of burying them in a footer.
Lead with the process, not the pitch. Every section answers a question a wary first-time seller would ask out loud.
Read the category cold — what sellers ask in WhatsApp threads, what scares them off, which trust signals actually shift behaviour.
Clean, utility-forward direction — minimal palette, generous whitespace, real numbers on the page. No stock photos of stacked bullion.
Next.js on Vercel — instant valuation calculator, six product landing pages, branch locator, FAQ, booking form. Mobile-first throughout.
Deployed as a live demo at goldtrust-nine.vercel.app — calculator working, form submitting, WhatsApp shortcut live.
