About SPG

The Strategic Partners Group is a well-established, broad-based black economic empowerment company — an original, active participant in the Gautrain project and a focused investor across the rail, logistics, construction, and facilities sectors.

Client Profile

Diversified investment & B-BBEE group operating across six divisions: Concessions, Investments & Operations, Construction, Isithimela Facilities, Optinet Systems, and SPG Advertising.

Scope

Full website proposal — modernised visual identity, restructured division architecture, dedicated newsroom, and a clearer narrative around the group's empowerment mission.

Goal

Bring the digital presence in line with the group's strategic stature — communicate the breadth of the divisions and the depth of the empowerment story to government, partners, and media.

What Needs to Change

A group of this calibre needs a digital presence that matches its role in nation-building infrastructure — modern, authoritative, and clear.

Modernised Identity

Move from a dated layout to a contemporary, institutional design that reflects SPG's strategic weight.

Division Clarity

Six subsidiaries with distinct services need clear, navigable presentation — without losing the group narrative.

Newsroom & Press

Press releases, leadership speeches, and media features deserve a proper, ongoing newsroom — not buried links.

Empowerment Story

Communicate the B-BBEE narrative authentically — community impact, not just credentials and certificates.

How I'd Build It

A grounded process — respect the legacy, restructure for today, and ship something that scales.

  1. 01

    Audit

Map the existing site, content gaps, and what corporate/government audiences actually need to find.

  2. 02

    Restructure

Reorganise the six divisions, projects, and newsroom into a clear information architecture that holds the brand together.

  3. 03

    Redesign

A confident, institutional visual language — refined palette, generous whitespace, modern typography. Distinctly 2025.

  4. 04

    Build

Built on Next.js, deployed on Vercel for speed and reliability. Responsive, semantic, and ready for ongoing content updates.
